These Terms of Use and Registration govern access to and use of the website of the Second Ibero-American Congress on Authorship in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, as well as certain aspects related to proposal submission, registration, and participation in the Congress.
The Congress is organized by Servicios Editoriales Pinar Publisher LLC.
Use of this website and registration for the Congress are subject to the conditions described below.
1. Use of the Website
This website is intended to provide information about the Congress, its editions, call for proposals, participants, activities, program, registration processes, and other content related to its organization.
The information available may be consulted and used for personal, professional, academic, or informational purposes, provided that copyright and other applicable rights are respected.
The website may not be used in a manner that could affect its security, operation, availability, or integrity, nor may anyone attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, data, or restricted areas.
2. Website Content
The organization seeks to ensure that published information is clear, current, and accurate.
However, certain content may change as a result of the development of the Congress, program changes, the addition of participants, organizational needs, or unforeseen circumstances.
The organization may correct, update, expand, or remove content when necessary.
3. Intellectual Property
Institutional texts, design, visual identity, logos, promotional materials, and other content created specifically for this website belong to Servicios Editoriales Pinar Publisher LLC or are used with the appropriate authorization.
They may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for commercial purposes without prior authorization when such use exceeds the limits permitted by applicable law.
Names, photographs, texts, works, presentations, and other materials belonging to speakers, authors, collaborators, or other individuals remain subject to the ownership and rights of their respective authors or rights holders.
Participation in the Congress does not constitute a general transfer of copyright in works or materials presented.
4. Submission of Proposals
Submission of a participation proposal does not guarantee acceptance.
Proposals will be considered in accordance with the criteria, thematic areas, requirements, and procedures established for the corresponding edition of the Congress.
The organization may request additional information when necessary to evaluate or manage a proposal.
Acceptance of a proposal authorizes participation in the Congress under the conditions communicated by the organization, but does not automatically imply publication of the corresponding text.
5. Participation and Publication
Only papers that have been accepted and actually presented at the Congress may be considered for the collective volume associated with the corresponding edition.
Acceptance of a paper for presentation and subsequent acceptance of a manuscript for publication are separate decisions.
Publication will be subject to editorial evaluation, suitability for the volume project, compliance with established requirements, and acceptance of the corresponding editorial conditions.
Participation in the Congress, by itself, does not create an automatic right to publication.
Specific conditions relating to originality, rights, editorial intervention, publication format, and other editorial matters will be communicated to individuals whose texts are considered for publication.
6. Registration
Participation in any modality requiring registration will be subject to availability, fees, dates, and conditions announced for the corresponding edition.
Registration will be considered complete when the requirements indicated by the organization have been fulfilled and, where applicable, payment of the corresponding fee has been received.
Current fees and dates will be those published on the website or officially communicated by the organization at the time of registration.
Each participant is responsible for providing accurate and current information during the registration process.
7. Payments
Payments related to registration may be processed through external payment service providers.
The organization does not directly store complete card details or other payment instrument information processed by those platforms.
Use of external payment services will also be subject to the terms and policies of the corresponding provider.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
Fees paid are non-refundable in the event of non-attendance or cancellation by the participant.
Event planning and the resources allocated to its organization are based on the number of registered participants.
If the Congress is canceled by the organization, the amount paid will be refunded in full.
9. Program Changes
The organization may make reasonable adjustments to the program, schedules, order of presentations, participants, technology platforms, or other operational aspects when necessary.
Such changes may occur, among other reasons, due to speaker availability, technical circumstances, organizational needs, or unforeseen situations.
Ordinary program changes will not, by themselves, be considered cancellation of the Congress.
10. Participation in Online Activities
The Congress may use digital platforms for videoconferencing, streaming, communication, or other technology services.
Participants are responsible for having an Internet connection and the equipment necessary to access online activities.
The operation of external platforms may depend on providers outside the organization and will also be subject to their own terms of service.
11. Photographs, Recordings, and Congress Archive
Certain Congress activities may be photographed, recorded, or documented for institutional, informational, historical, educational, or promotional purposes.
Where appropriate, participants will be informed about the creation and use of such recordings or materials.
Photographs, recordings, programs, authorized presentations, and other documents related to a completed edition may become part of the historical record and institutional archive of the Congress.
Public use of photographs, recordings, presentations, or other materials that identify an individual will be carried out in accordance with the permissions granted and the rights that apply.
12. Use of Artificial Intelligence
The organization may use generative artificial intelligence systems as support tools for certain tasks involving linguistic production, organization, review, or content preparation.
Conceptual, editorial, and institutional decisions, as well as review of and responsibility for content published by the organization, remain with the organization.
13. Collaborations, Interviews, and Promotional Opportunities
The organization may arrange or facilitate opportunities for visibility for speakers and members of the Advisory Committee through interviews, radio programs, communication platforms, or other external collaborations related to the Congress.
The organization may handle initial coordination and contact. However, external media outlets, programs, and collaborators operate according to their own policies, editorial criteria, technical requirements, schedules, and participation conditions.
Once initial coordination has been established, the specific details of each appearance or participation will be agreed directly between the relevant collaborator or media outlet and the invited individual.
Participation in these external opportunities is subject to the availability and acceptance of the relevant media outlet or collaborator and is not a guaranteed obligation of the Congress organization.
14. External Links and Services
This website may contain links to websites, documents, platforms, or services operated by third parties.
The inclusion of a link does not necessarily imply endorsement, responsibility, or control over the content, operation, or policies of the external site.
Individuals accessing such services should review their applicable terms and policies when appropriate.
15. Privacy and Cookies
The processing of personal data related to use of the website, forms, proposals, and participation in the Congress is described in our Privacy Policy.
The use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.
Both policies form part of the institutional information applicable to use of this website.
16. Website Availability
