  6. Dr. Yalitza T. Ramos Gil

    Dr. Yalitza T. Ramos Gil

Ph.D. in Contemporary Communication and Information · Member of the Information Physics Institute · Scopus h-index: 9

    Read full biography

Yalitza Therly Ramos Gil is a Venezuelan-born researcher based in Zaragoza, Spain, whose work bridges the social sciences and the physics of information. She holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary Communication and Information, awarded cum laude, from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Over more than twenty-five years, she has authored over forty peer-reviewed publications, has a Scopus h-index of 9, and is an accredited researcher in Venezuela (Category A-1, FONACIT) and Ecuador (SENESCYT).

For more than five years, she taught the psychology of communication, drawing on linguistic, pragmatic, and discourse models as well as content analysis—the same tools she now brings to the question of who, or what, writes a text. She served as principal investigator on a project on communication strategies for disaster prevention and large-scale risk management, and she has worked as a peer reviewer for academic journals.

As a member of the Information Physics Institute (IPI), she studies proto-information: the genealogy linking Pythagorean number, the Sefer Yetzirah, and the combinatorial projects of Llull and Leibniz to Landauer’s thesis that information is physical. She tests these ideas with text-compression methods, a family of techniques also used in authorship attribution. Her work on the Hebrew sources draws on a two-year specialized program (2019–2021) on the Kabbalistic tradition and the Hebrew letters at Mario Sabán’s School of Kabbalah in Barcelona, completed with special distinction.

She writes fiction under the pen name Therly Ramos. She registered her book Los sueños de Therly with an explicit declaration of AI involvement, a timestamp, and blockchain anchoring—a working case for the questions of attribution and transparency at the heart of this Congress. She integrates AI into her research openly and under her own critical supervision, and she has completed employment training in Cybersecurity: Prevention, Analysis and Incident Response through Aragon’s Public Employment Service (INAEM), Spain.
